Archbishop Lucas to lead Mass, procession for life in Bellevue

Archbishop George J. Lucas will preside at the 13th annual "Vigil for Life" Mass and rosary procession to an abortion clinic in Bellevue Sept. 8.

The 8 a.m. Mass at St. Mary Church in Bellevue will include exposition and adoration of the Eucharist, followed by a three-block long procession to the clinic. The vigil will conclude with Benediction and a reception at the church.

About 400 people participated in last year's vigil.

"This is a great time for all Catholics in the Omaha area to be united with the archbishop and pray for the right to life," said Elizabeth Murphy, coordinator of the archdiocese's Respect Life Apostolate.
