Archdiocese encourages full participation in school survey
A new, broad look at Catholic schools in the archdiocese will be enhanced by the participation of all parishioners in an online survey, said Tim McNeil, chancellor.
The goal is to develop a vision for Catholic education for the next 10 to 20 years, and the survey seeks opinions about the strengths and weaknesses, challenges and priorities of Catholic schools.
The consulting firm studying dozens of elementary schools and parishes in eastern Omaha, Wisconsin-based Meitler Consultants, is conducting the survey.
Announced last month, the survey is designed to help the archdiocese develop a vision and goals for all schools in the archdiocese - elementary schools and high schools, rural and urban. The wider look at schools also will help prepare for a possible capital campaign by giving donors an idea of how their financial help would assist Catholic education, archdiocesan officials have said.
Surveys should be completed by May 21, and they can be found at www.meitler.com/survey.asp.
