Essay contest finalist

Emily Hemmer, a fifth grade student at Holy Family School in Lindsay, has been named one of three finalists in the Columbus Sertoma essay contest. She was awarded a $250 US Savings Bond for her essay on "What it means to be an American." She is the daughter of Dale and Mary Hemmer of rural Lindsay.
