CSM Musicians to perform at St. Cecilia

Several College of Saint Mary musicians will come together April 14 to present a special 25-minute prelude of music, called "Spring Celebration," beginning at 5:05 p.m. at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha.

Mass will follow at 5:30 p.m.

This prelude will include the College of Saint Mary Chorus, community ensemble Musica Sacra, organist Wayne Kallstron, flutist Carolyn Crawford and conductor Marty Wheeler Burnett.

Preceded in death by husband, C.D. "Bob" Harman; granddaughter, Anne Comfort; grandson, Matthew Comfort. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia Harman, Sheila and Jim Reuting, Monica and J.J. Boyle, and Susanne and George Grogan; seven grandchildren; nieces. Memorials may be given to VNA Hospice or charity of choice.

$200,000 raised at Comedy and Cuisine fundraiser

More than $200,000 was raised for tuition assistance and capital improvement at St. Cecilia School's annual fundraiser, Comedy and Cuisine. Archbishop Elden Francis Curtiss was joined by Bonnie Prior, principal of St. Cecilia School in Omaha, left, Father Ralph O'Donnell and 700 other guests for the event, which was held at Mutual of Omaha. The theme for the evening was, "Celebrating 100 Years of Educational Excellence ... A Great Story Continues."
