Husband and wife to perform organ concert

Michael and Marie Rubis Bauer will perform the first of eight free concerts of the complete organ works of the German composer Dieterich Buxtehude Sunday, July 22, at 3 p.m. at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha.

The concerts commemorate the 300th anniversary of the death of Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach's mentor.

Marie Rubis Bauer is director of music and organist at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha. Michael Bauer is professor of organ and church music at the University of Kansas.
