"Grief and Loss in Rural Life" Conference - Nov. 4

"Grief and Loss in Rural Life" Conference will take place Sunday, Nov. 4, at St. Mary Parish's Holy Family Hall, Wayne. Keynote speaker Joan Burney will focus on coping with grief and loss. Two mini-sessions that will deal with establishing a parish grief ministry, and coping with separation, widowhood and divorce will follow the talk. A free will offering will be encouraged. "Ministry to the Homebound" - Sept. 27

"Ministry to the Homebound", a free seminar hosted by St. Thomas More Parish, will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, 7 p.m. at St. Thomas More Parish Social Hall, Omaha. Titled "Companions on the Journey," this seminar will be conducted by Mary Eileen Andreasen. Elder ministers and extraordinary ministers of holy Communion who take Communion to the homebound are invited and encouraged to attend. St. Thomas More Parish's Health Fair for Older Adults - Oct. 5

St. Thomas More Parish's Health Fair for Older Adults will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 10 a.m. to noon at St. Thomas More School Gym, Omaha. Services offered are osteoporosis screenings, calcium counseling, medication information, exercise instruction, blood pressure checks and more. Event is free. All activities will be performed by Creighton University students and faculty in the pharmacy, physical therapy and occupational therapy programs. Registration is requested.
