Annual candlelight vigil to mark October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The 12th annual candlelight vigil to mark October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month will be held September 27 in Heartland of America Park, 8th and Douglas streets.

Representatives from Catholic Charities of Omaha, the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, Ponca Tribe of Nebraska Domestic Abuse Program and YWCA Omaha Women Against Violence Programs will be participating in the 7 p.m. vigil.
