In honor of his 50th anniversary as a priest, Father James Ryberg will celebrate a Mass Dec. 2 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2210 S. 32nd Ave., in Omaha.

Father Ryberg was born in Chicago in 1932 and attended Holy Name Grade School in Omaha. He studied for the priesthood at St. Columban's Minor and Major Seminaries in Bellevue before his ordination in 1957.
