Sisters of Mercy welcome candidate

The Sisters of Mercy Regional Community of Omaha welcomed Nebraska native Angie Dixon into the community June 5.

Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Associates, family and friends gathered in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at Omaha's Mercy High School to celebrate Dixon's desire to further her discernment of religious life with the Sisters of Mercy by becoming a candidate.

"Angie's request for candidacy brings our community great joy. We are blessed to have new life among us," said Omaha Regional Community President Sister Patricia Forret.

"The Dance of Life" is set for July 18, 7:30 p.m. to July 20, after lunch at St. Benedict Center, Schuyler.
