Two Principals end longtime service

When the 2008-2009 school year begins, two women who have devoted much of their life to education will no longer be at their schools because they have stepped into unfamiliar territory - retirement.

Bonnie Pryor and Sister Patricia Throener, SSSF, both who have served as teacher and principal in the Archdiocese of Omaha, retired last month.

They both say the change retirement brings will be difficult but welcomed.

"The adjustment will be devastating," Pryor told the Catholic Voice May 29, the day before classes ended at St. Cecilia School in Omaha.
