Roncalli Catholic High School's 19th annual Roncalli-Leavitt Swing with Pride Golf open - Aug. 25

Roncalli Catholic High School's 19th annual Roncalli-Leavitt Swing with Pride Golf open is set for Aug. 25, 11 a.m. at Tiburon Golf Club, Omaha. Shotgun starts at noon. $125 fee for each golfer includes lunch, 18 holes of golf with carts, a social hour and a dinner following. Event includes a raffle, live auction and silent auction. Proceeds benefit the tuition assistance program at the school. Sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from $500 to $5,000. Foursomes are $500. Deadline for individual and team registration is Aug. 21; deadline for sponsorships is Aug. 15.

St. Stanislaus Parish's annual Polish festival - Aug. 17

St. Stanislaus Parish's annual Polish festival will be Aug. 17, noon to 8 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 41st and J St., Omaha. Featuring Polish foods, live polka music, games, special raffle, booth prizes, grand prize drawing plus other cash prizes, and children's rides. Park at K-Mart at 50th and L St. and ride Ollie the Trolley to the church. Round trips will be made all afternoon and early evening for your convenience. Centennial Celebration for Holy Family Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is set for Aug. 29-31 at the church. Aug. 29 activity is 7 p.m.

A Woman's Touch Pregnancy Counseling Center pancake breakfast - Sept. 21

A Woman's Touch Pregnancy Counseling Center pancake breakfast is set for Sept. 21, 9 a.m. to noon at the Lied Activity Center, 2700 Arboretum Dr., Bellevue. All the pancakes you can eat, as well as sausage, coffee and juice. Cost is $5.50 for adults; $4 for children 12 and under; $25 family maximum. Also included will be clowns, face painting, banquet raffle, free drawing, auxiliary sales, live Christian music, and pro-life calendar sales.

Catholic Culture Series at Via Christe Assisted Living - Sept. 18, Oct. 16, Nov. 20, Feb. 19, March 19 and April 23

Catholic Culture Series will be the third Thursday of each month, 1:30 p.m. at Via Christe Assisted Living, 3636 California St., Omaha. Each program will be about one hour. Topics will be: Sept. 18 - "The History of the Archdiocese and anniversary of the Cathedral" by Father Michael Gutgsell; Oct. 16 - "Spirituality and the Aging" by Mary Eileen Andreasen; Nov. 20 - "The Catholic Church Today" and an overview of Pope Benedict's U.S. visit complete with pictures; Feb.

Pirates of Penzance - July 18-20 and 23-27

Pirates of Penzance will be performed July 18-20 and 23-27, 7:30 p.m. at the Archdiocesan Retreat and Conference Center, 3330 N. 60th St., Omaha. Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Join the Pirate King and his rollicking band of pirates as they dock their ship at the ARCC for this piratical coming of age musical romp. Cost is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and students. For reservations, call 558-1442.

Knights of Columbus pancake feed - July 27, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Knights of Columbus pancake feed, to help the Brekel family rebuild after fire destroyed their home, will take place July 27, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes' parish hall, s. 32nd Ave., Omaha. Sponsored by Our Lady of Lourdes Knights of Columbus. Cost is $5 for adults; $5 for adults; $3 for children; $20 per family. The Brekels lost their home and much of their belongings in a fire earlier this month. Additional donations for the family are accepted.
