2nd Annual Blue Mass to honor all metro area police, fire and first responders is set for Oct. 1 at St. Peter Church, 27th and Leavenworth, Omaha. St. Bernadette Parish Summer Musical Fundraiser Dinner will be Sept. 27, 6 p.m. at the church social hall, 7600 S. 42nd St., Bellevue. Cost is $8 for adults; $4 for children 10 and under. Annual Boy Scout/Cub Scout Religious Counselor and Coordinator Training is set for Oct. 11, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mid America Council's Durham Scout Center, 12401 W. Maple Road, Omaha. Registration at 8 a.m. Awards will be Cub Scout Light of Christ and Parvului Dei Awards and Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII Scout Awards. Information will be presented on the Pope Paul VI Unit Award, and the Bronze Pelican and St. George Adult awards. Religious coordinators and counselors, who have previously attended the training, are encouraged to attend.
