Madonna School gives thanks for community generosity

Just days before sitting down for a Thanksgiving feast, Omaha's Madonna School had cause for another celebration.

Thanks to the generosity of Alegent Health and community benefactors, the school, a one-of-a-kind Catholic school that serves cognitively-challenged children in the Omaha area, is finally able to move forward in its mission to be debt free.

Mary Kay Mueller's inspirational message and music have blessed audiences for the past 20 years. JOY retreat helps individuals release worry and regret and return to the joy inherent moment. St. Vincent de Paul Parish's Advent Evening of Reflection is set for Dec. 9, 7-8:30 p.m. at the church, 144th and Maple, Omaha. Dr. Wendy Wright, theologian and professor at Creighton University, will speak on "The Vigil: Keeping Watch in the Season of Christ's Coming." Light refreshments served.
