Archbishop Elden Francis Curtiss will retire in July knowing he ended his almost 16 years in Omaha by welcoming more than 30 possible candidates for the priesthood at an open house.
On June 7, 32 prospective seminary candidates, ranging in age from 15 to 34, attended an open house at the St. Margaret Mary Suneg Center with Archbishop Curtiss. Fourteen priests accompanied the men to the event.
