Reflections lead to optimism about future and archbishop

New leadership typically means change.

And the new ideas and emphasis of Archbishop George J. Lucas are likely to be felt by the priests and laity throughout Northeast Nebraska.

But three longtime priests of the Archdiocese of Omaha said they are confident that the newest shepherd will be exactly what the archdiocese needs.

Msgrs. Andrew Meister, Francis Kubart and Peter Dunne all served in the archdiocese under the past four archbishops - James Hugh Ryan, Gerald Thomas Bergan, Daniel Edward Sheehan and Elden Francis Curtiss.
