Archdiocese encourages special Sunday Mass collections for Oklahoma storm victims

Parishes across the Omaha Archdiocese are encouraged to take up special collections at Sunday Masses for victims of the May 20 tornado that struck a suburb of Oklahoma City - and for other natural disasters that might strike yet this year, an archdiocesan spokesman said.

The storm season has just begun and already the country has witnessed a tragedy in Oklahoma of unprecedented proportions, said Deacon Tim McNeil, chancellor.
