What does it take to feed more than 1,200 guests on Thanksgiving?

St. Boniface Parish in Elgin has the answer: It takes a lot.

Forty-two turkeys, 565 pounds of original-recipe sausage, 53 gallons of corn, 27 gallons of sauerkraut, 14 roasters full of dressing, 18 gallons of cranberry sauce, 1,450 servings of pie and other desserts, 15 gallons of Jell-O salad and 1,400 dinner rolls. And that doesn't include the mashed potatoes and gravy and the ribs that go with the kraut.
