Preschoolers visit retirement center
Continuing a 15-year tradition, preschool students from St. Stephen the Martyr School in Omaha sang songs, made crafts, prayed and enjoyed cookies and punch Nov. 20 with residents of New Cassel Retirement Center, also in Omaha.
Students from the school have visited the center each spring and fall since 1998, when Father James Tiegs, now pastor, served as chaplain at the retirement center and celebrated Sunday night Masses at St. Stephen.
