Creighton University president plans to retire in June 2015

Creighton University's president, Jesuit Father Timothy Lannon, said Feb. 24 he plans to retire from the post in June 2015, and that he came to the decision after reflecting on his health and what is best for the university.

Father Lannon collapsed while celebrating Mass at Thanksgiving, and in December he underwent a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat.
