St. John Paul on life and love

Thankfully, as we celebrate in this Easter season, we worship a God who sent his only begotten Son to save us from our sins and to defeat death.

Knights donate pro-life monument to Valley parish

VALLEY – It’s a powerful image reflecting God’s protection and the sanctity of life: a baby cradled in a hand, engraved in 2½ tons of glacial granite.

Formed in 2008 to augment the Life Teen program at St. Mary Parish in West Point, the LT Band recently recorded a CD featuring songs they have played at Masses over the last 5 ½ years. All are members of St. Mary Parish unless noted. Back row, from left, Bill Kreikemeier (a member of St. Leo Parish in Snyder), Dan Birchem (a member of St. Boniface Parish in Monterey), Bernie Manley, Lisa Manley, Greg Kreikemeier; front from left, Mike Knobbe (a member of St. Boniface), Deena Woods, Judy Perry, Jim Perry and Charissa Steffensmeier.
