Retirement centers provide activities for whole-body health

Twice a day – once right after Mass in the morning, then after dinner in the evening – Bertha Steuter, who lives at St. Joseph’s Retirement Community in West Point, exercises on a low-impact, whole-body machine that looks like a large, stationary bicycle.

Seventeen couples marry in two ceremonies

Seventeen Hispanic couples were married recently in two ceremonies at St. Mary Church in West Point, part of an archdiocesan program that helps couples marry in the church and spread the faith.

In the springtime, farmers and ranchers across the archdiocese call on both as they plant crops they hope will yield a bountiful harvest come fall.
