Five men ordained permanent deacons

Five men accepted a centuries-old commission to serve God and his people when they were ordained as permanent deacons May 2 at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha.

Called to priesthood

Recalling signs that his path might lead to the priesthood, Deacon Matthew Niggemeyer remembers the patience, kindness and consideration of the late Msgr. Eugene Kerwin, founder of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Omaha.
