Advent Song

I bore three children.

Burrowed deep within my womb they grew, attached to me.

Nestled beneath flesh and blood and love – tangled up in who I was and who I would become.

I felt them move beneath my heart, and waited,

with bated breath and longing,

until at last they were brought forth –

I held them to myself and knew,

Beatification letters

During the Rite of the Opening of the Door of Mercy Archbishop George J. Lucas opened the special door at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha Dec. 13.

Christmas more than a day – it’s a season

By Dec. 26, the frenzy of holiday activity finally has slowed, the festivities are over, the gift wrap is discarded.
