Life is Sweet – Spirit of St. Francis benefit: Oct. 13, 6 p.m. cocktails, 6:45 p.m. dinner and program, at Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine St., Omaha. To benefit New Cassel Retirement Center and Franciscan Centre Adult Daycare.  Reservations by Oct. 5 to New Cassel Foundation, Cindy or Maureen at 402-390-5308 or 402-390-5317. Cost $100 per person or $1000 for Corporate table of eight.
