As the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis concludes this month, the Archdiocese of Omaha is marking the occasion with two special celebrations.
Deacon Donald Johnson, who served in the archdiocese for 37 years, died Nov. 3. He was 88.
A visitation and vigil service were held Nov. 6 at St. Thomas More Church in Omaha.
A funeral Mass was held Nov. 7 at St. Thomas More Church, and interment with military honors was held at St. John Cemetery in Bellevue.
