With a key, incense and prayers, the door of mercy was closed Nov. 13 at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, marking the final days of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy.

Thanksgiving brings together faith, family

This Thanksgiving, Henry and Bernadette "Bernie" Drueke will have guests over to their house.

Sister Fey served in Elgin, Omaha

School Sister of St. Francis Joyce Fey, whose 49 years of service included teaching at Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School in Elgin and working at her order’s then-provincial house in Omaha, died Oct. 2 in Wisconsin. She was 68.
 
Her funeral Mass was Oct. 6 at St. Joseph Convent and interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Milwaukee.
