Musician Danny Leger, center right, performs on stage with a little help from students at a Lenten Faith Rally for Catholic schools Feb. 28 at Holy Trinity School’s Werner Activity Center in Hartington. The event was inspired by the Archdiocese of Omaha’s pastoral vision: “One church: encountering Jesus, equipping disciples and living mercy.” Participating were Holy Trinity School, Hartington; East Catholic School, Bow Valley; West Catholic School, Fordyce; St. Mary School, Osmond; St. Rose of Lima School, Crofton; and Cedar Catholic High School, Hartington. Joyful songs for the Lord

HARTINGTON – Time flew by for Sydney Becker.
A senior at Cedar Catholic High School in Hartington, she and more than 500 other students from six schools gathered Feb. 28 for a Lenten Faith Rally inspired by the archdiocese’s pastoral vision.

Kathy and Jeff Foley pause March 7 with Gloria Payers, center, as Payers shops in a food pantry in Walthill that serves the Omaha and Winnebago reservations.

Couple grateful for St. Augustine missionary experience

Gloria Payers knows that when she shops at the thrift store at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Macy, volunteer Jeff Foley will help her find and carry diapers, clothes, shoes or other items she needs for the five grandchildren she is raising – or just listen as she talks about her problems.
