Big week ahead for scholarship bill

Next week is important for backers of LB295, the Opportunity Scholarships Act.
 
For the first time in more than two decades, the bill designed to provide scholarships to low- and middle-income families who want to send their children to Catholic or other private schools – or any school choice bill like it – will be considered by the full Legislature.

Prayer rally for marriage

A prayer rally to support traditional marriage will be held at noon March 17 on the northeast corner of 76th and Dodge streets in Omaha.

It will be one of more than 2,000 rallies around the country organized by America Needs Fatima in defense of God’s plan for marriage.
