Members of St. William Parish in Niobrara say the rosary May 20 at their “Our Lady of the River Grotto” as part of celebrating the feast of St. William of Perth, the parish’s patron and patron saint of adopted children. The celebration with about 15 people also included Mass with the pastor, Father Kizito Okhuoya, presiding, a potluck dinner, Catholic Charities video about adoption and about $300 in donations to Catholic Charities. New Cassel celebrates founding 45 years ago

New Cassel Retirement Center in Omaha celebrated its 45th anniversary June 1 with a balloon release, cake and other treats.
Founded by the School Sisters of St. Francis in a building that once housed the community’s novices, the retirement center also is undergoing several changes as part of its celebration.

More than 50 seniors were escorted by Roncalli Catholic High School students through a red carpet entrance, danced, and enjoyed food and company at a special prom at the Immanuel Courtyard independent and assisted living center in Omaha.
Student walk raises $10,000
