Breaking ground

Members of St. William Parish in Niobrara say the rosary May 20 at their “Our Lady of the River Grotto” as part of celebrating the feast of St. William of Perth, the parish’s patron and patron saint of adopted children. The celebration with about 15 people also included Mass with the pastor, Father Kizito Okhuoya, presiding, a potluck dinner, Catholic Charities video about adoption and about $300 in donations to Catholic Charities. A semi-finalist on the soccer field, Mercy High School was a big winner for the positive spirit brought by its biggest fans at the Nebraska soccer championships in Omaha.
