Blizzard warnings don’t stop party

Blinding snow fell only two hours before Scotus Central Catholic High School held its annual Gala dinner and auction in Columbus.

But the all-day blizzard warning didn’t stop the show April 14 as volunteers shoveled the walks and 475 people stepped through the school’s doors to help raise more than $240,000 for the high school’s general fund.

Pre-ordination evening a time of prayer, fun, friends and family

A gathering the night before the June 2 ordination of three men to the priesthood included Archbishop George J. Lucas and close friends and family of the seminarians to be ordained. It was something like a groom’s dinner before a wedding.
