Eighth-graders from All Saints School and Sacred Heart School, both in Omaha, will get an early start on their college plans thanks to the EducationQuest Foundation.
More than 700 supporters of V.J. and Angela Skutt Catholic High School raised more than $460,000 for student tuition assistance at its annual Angel Flight fundraiser.

Three Omaha eighth graders from the Music in Catholic Schools program were named to the Nebraska State Bandmasters 2019 All-State Band. They are: John Watson of St. Robert Bellarmine School, fourth clarinet; Amelia Larson of Holy Cross School, ninth clarinet; and Allie Geist of Mary Our Queen School, second bass clarinet.
St. Wenceslaus School in Omaha marked Veterans Day (Nov. 11) with special ceremonies during the school day.
Students honored more than 100 veterans during a Nov. 9 ceremony at the school. Each veteran was escorted into the assembly by a student and received a poppy bouquet made by the school’s second graders and a handmade thank-you card from first- and second-grade students.
