Catholic Moral Theology and HIV prevention subject of lecture
"Catholic Moral Theology and HIV Prevention: Sworn Enemies or Potential Partners? A Historical Look at the Developing Conversation" will be the subject of a Nov. 30, lecture at Creighton University in Omaha.
Father Jon Fuller, SJ, MD, associate professor of medicine at Boston University, will deliver the lecture as part of the William M. Clark, MD, Visiting Professorship.
The noon to 1 p.m. talk is free and registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at Creighton University Medical Center's Morrison Seminar Room, 601 N. 30th St.
Father Fuller has explored for many years the ethical, theological and pastoral-care issues surrounding HIV and AIDS. He is a staff physician at Boston Medical Center's Center for HIV/AIDS Care and Research.
Father Fuller co-edited "Catholic Ethicists on HIV/AIDS Prevention," published in 2000, which received a book of the year award from Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit Honor Society.
