High school celebrates Grandparent's Day

More than 200 grandparents joined their granddaughters Jan. 29 for an all-school Mass celebrating Grandparent's Day at Marian High School in Omaha.

The Mass, celebrated by Jesuit Father Larry Gillick, director of the Deglman Center for Ignatian Spirituality at Creighton University in Omaha, focused on the theme, "Embracing Our Roots," which let students reflect on their heritage and the gifts given to them by their grandparents.

The event concluded with a reception and an opportunity for each student to pose for a keepsake photograph with her grandparents.
