IrishFest 2007 to feature Styx

Catholic Charities IrishFest 2007 - Shamrocks & Styx - is set for March 10 at the Qwest Center Omaha.

This year's event will feature the 1970s band, Styx. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and an oral auction at 7 p.m.

Auction items include an all-inclusive Masters Tournament Experience, a china, flatware and crystal package from Borsheims, a trip to New York City with tickets to the Broadway hit "Jersey Boys," and a football autographed by 16 Heisman trophy winners.

This year's keynote speaker will be a current staff member from the Omaha Campus for Hope.

"Whether it's the appeal of Styx or our highly coveted auction items, we're confident this year's event will be one to remember," said Kathy Fitzgerald Grandsaert, Catholic Charities' senior director for development.

Co-chairs for this year's IrishFest are Todd and Amy Feltz, Tom and Tami McNeil, and Mark and Ursula Trienen.

In 2006, IrishFest raised more than $500,000 for Catholic Charities' 22 programs and services.
