Liturgical composers record lullaby CD
Singer/songwriter duo Cher and Gene Klosner have completed their fourth CD, Stardust, a collection of lullabies for all ages.
"Our mom used to sing us to sleep when we were kids," said Cher Klosner. "Now I sing my son to sleep almost every night, with many of the same songs she sang to us."
The Klosners, Omaha natives who have recorded in Los Angeles and Nashville, chose Omaha for the project. Musicians on the CD include members of the Omaha Symphony and the Omaha Conservatory of Music.
The project is a two-disc, 42 track collection. Each disc is nearly 78 minutes long. The first half of each disc has the full productions with vocals and the second half has the instrumental version of those songs, so people can sing their loved ones to sleep.
The $19.95 CD will be available at The Cosgrave Company, Parables, Homers, Nebraska Furniture Mart and Belly Bump after Thanksgiving.
