Catholic Charities provides Christmas gifts
Catholic Charities in Omaha helped deliver Christmas gifts to more than a thousand needy people in the Omaha area this year, with donations from more than a dozen parishes as well as businesses, individuals and families.
More than 300 families, 45 seniors and other individuals were "adopted" and received gifts through family enrichment programs at Catholic Charities’ St. Martin de Porres Center and Juan Diego Center, both in Omaha.
"We couldn’t bring the joy of this season to so many without the generosity of our community," said John Griffiths, Catholic Charities executive director. "We can’t do it without their help, and for that we are very grateful.
