Catholic Charities receives $445,800
A $445,800 grant from United Way of the Midlands will help Catholic Charities of Omaha serve the needy with food assistance and other services at two neighborhood centers.
In addition to food assistance at Catholic Charities’ Juan Diego Center in south Omaha and St. Martin de Porres Center in north Omaha, the agency offers immigration legal assistance, family strengthening and other programs at the Juan Diego Center.
St. Martin de Porres Center also offers community involvement,
education and other services for seniors.
"Catholic Charities is grateful for the support of the United Way donors for ensuring we can serve the community where we are needed most," said John Griffith, executive director. "United Way’s funding of our neighborhood centers provides support to help us care for the hungry and vulnerable."
