Catholic Daughters’ CU chapter installed
Creighton University freshman and Mary Our Queen parishioner Megan Brookhouser took on more than new studies this year.
The Omaha woman formed a chapter, or court, of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas on campus, the first at a Nebraska university and the 15th college court in the country, Brookhouser said.
Installation of the Court of St. Ignatius of Loyola 2712, formed to foster spiritual development, sisterhood and service, took place after a special Mass April 10 at Creighton’s St. John Church. Twenty-one members were installed, with Brookhouser as regent.
National Regent Shirley Seyfried of Minnesota came to the initiation ceremony, conducted by Nebraska State Regent RoseMary Shald, also of Mary Our Queen Parish in Omaha.
