Clarkson students pack Mercy Meals

As part of their Lenten experience, 20 students and four teachers from St. John Neumann School in Clarkson packed more than 430 Mercy Meals – enough to feed 2,592 people – March 20 for the Orphan Grain Train in Norfolk.
 
The Christian volunteer network distributes food, clothing, medical supplies and other items to the needy worldwide. 
 
The students also collected nonperishable food items during Lent that will be divided among three area food pantries and a domestic violence shelter in Norfolk.
