Family of Year from archdiocese

A couple from Holy Family Parish in Lindsay – John and Rosemary Wiese, along with their seven children – were honored as Family of the Year in Nebraska at the annual Knights of Columbus state convention April 22-24 in Kearney.

The Wieses are coordinators for Northeast Nebraska Engaged Encounter, and John is a lector, basketball coach and as a member of Knights Council 7699 helps with the annual free throw contest for youths.

Rosemary belongs to the school board, the parish guild and Lindsay Area Right to Life.

Each of their children is involved in the faith, including several as extraordinary ministers of holy Communion, lectors, retreat and mission trip participants, and others as members of the Cub Scouts and serving at Mass, judges said.
