Food for homebound

Jarrett Weitl, left, a junior at Millard West High School, Daniel Zavadil, a senior at Millard West and Michael Landgon, a sophomore schooled at home, prepare food May 1 for the St. Wenceslaus Parish L.I.F.E. Overflows youth group project in Omaha. The youths helped cook and deliver meals of spaghetti and meat sauce, green beans, fresh fruit and dinner rolls, and made May Day baskets of popcorn and trail mix for 14 homebound parishioners. They also made 10 May Day baskets for hospitalized parishioners. The St. Wenceslaus Knights of Columbus Squires paid for the food, and the Great Harvest Bread Co. donated dinner rolls and provided kitchen space for the project.
