Golf Fest raises $60,000 for tuition

The 25th annual Mercy High School "Driving for Excellence Golf Fest" broke school records for participation and money raised.

More than 180 golfers raised $60,000 for the Omaha school’s negotiated tuition program July 18 at The Players Club at Deer Creek in Omaha.

Along with a cookout and buffet dinner, raffle and prizes, the school recognized the golf fest’s co-founders – Ingrid Kalinowski Borghoff, former vice president of advancement, and Ron Wilwerding, former board member.

Since its inception, the golf outing has raised more than $900,000 for tuition assistance.
