Third-graders Elizabeth Moser and Gavin Kallhoff examine an owl pellet – undigested food the birds spit out – as they study the food chain at St. Boniface School in Elgin. Third-graders also are working with a 3-D computer on loan to the school that gives them a realistic view of what they are discovering as they study aspects of the food chain.
