Mercy High holds retreats

Eighty-four Mercy High School seniors and 70 juniors held retreats recently, with the seniors overnight at a retreat center in Fremont Aug. 31 discussing their lives, their futures and their desire to live as women of mercy.

The juniors split up into service groups, spending half the day Sept. 1 at various charities, including the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, Habitat ReStore, Salvation Army and Ronald McDonald House, all in Omaha. The junior class at the Omaha school spent the second half of the day reflecting on the service they participated in and the reality of injustice in the world.
