Mercy High School junior Koley Hoge, left, buys a cupcake from classmates Uyen Nguyen and Susie Huggins as part of an effort that raised more than $19,470 during the Omaha school’s annual Mission Week, March 19-23. The money will help rebuild a school and community center in Cameroon that was destroyed by religious conflict and violence. The students also purchased feminine hygiene products for girls in the Sudan to help them gain the confidence to attend school. COURTESY PHOTO
