Mmm’ good

Don Ridder, principal of Holy Name School in Omaha, enjoys the taste of a pie delivered in an unconventional way as part of a scholarship fundraiser, while eighth-graders Kassidy Carpenter, left, and Jade Martinez, far right, look on with Spanish teacher Sarah Bender. Ten teachers had a similar taste of pie as students and faculty raised $1,600 – matched by a $1,000 donation – to establish an endowed scholarship at the school in memory of the late Carol Cowart, school secretary for 41 years.
