Prayer group helps separated families

Those who have or know someone with a loved one who is incarcerated are invited to share in prayer with and for families struggling with separation.

The new prayer initiative meets the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in  the St. Vincent Room at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 14330 Eagle Run Drive, in Omaha. Prayer is informal, typically beginning with a meditation on a relevant Bible passage and concluding with a decade of the rosary. The focus is on restoring a sense of healing, strength and community to families who have experienced judgment and shame due to their situation.

This group is also open to those whose loved ones have been released from prison and are trying to make it in the outside world.
