NCC candidate survey now online
For the May 9 primary election, the Nebraska Catholic Conference conducted an issue-based survey of all candidates for Governor, Nebraska Legislature, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. Survey results can be found on the Archdiocese of Omaha's Web site "“ www.archomaha.com.
NCC Executive Director Jim Cunningham said the purpose of the survey is to provide Catholic Nebraskans an opportunity to become better informed about the positions and views of candidates on issues relating to NCC interests.
Traditionally, responses to the NCC candidate survey have been published in the three diocesan newspapers in the state.
Cunningham said this year, due to cost considerations brought about by the large number of candidates, the survey responses are being published only in an electronic format on the NCC Web site "“ www.nebcathcon.org "“ and the Web sites of the Archdiocese of Omaha, Diocese of Lincoln and Diocese of Grand Island.
