Priests’ celebrate special anniversaries

Eight priests marking special anniversaries were honored April 25 at the annual priest jubilee celebration at St. Patrick Church in Fremont.

Archbishop George J. Lucas presided at Mass and giving the homily was Father Craig Loecker, pastor of St. Leo the Great Parish in Omaha and one of six priests celebrating 25 years in the priesthood. Two Jesuit priests were celebrating 50 years of service in the church.

Father Michael Eckley, pastor of St. Pius X Parish in Omaha, spoke at the celebration on “Experiencing and Living God’s Mercy Through the Gift of Our Priesthood.”
