Priests’ softball game set for Father’s Day
Help support vocations and enjoy a slow-pitch softball game.
Those opportunities will come together on Father’s Day as people gather at Werner Park near Papillion to watch archdiocesan clergy in a light-hearted competition against brother priests from the Diocese of Lincoln.
Proceeds will go to the vocations offices at both dioceses. Last year’s contest drew about 7,500 people and raised $25,000 for each office.
And ticket sales have been brisk this year, with officials at co-sponsor Spirit Catholic Radio saying the June 19 game could hit a Werner Park capacity 9,023.
Learn more about the upcoming game in the June 10 issue of the Catholic Voice.
Order tickets online at spiritcatholicradio.com and archomaha.org, or in Omaha at the Archdiocese of Omaha chancery, Spirit Catholic Radio studio, Adoremus Books, the Cosgrave Company and Gloria Deo.
